Worried About Using Your Credit Card Online?

I thought this post over at Kristine McKindley’s blog was pretty interesting, called Where does credit card fraud take place?

I think a lot of people are afraid of buying stuff online because they think their credit card information isn’t safe.  But according to the data Kristine quotes only 4% of credit card fraud comes from online purchases, and 8% from computer viruses or hackers.

38% percent comes from lost or stolen wallet, cheques or credit cards.  Kristine suggests that the biggest way to prevent credit card fraud would then be to reduce the number of cards you carry on you at any time, good advice!

And good news for those of us who like to shop online!
