Tonight is Meet The Teacher night
Well, I’m not a novice to these events any more but still the idea doesn’t thrill me at all. Tonight is the night Hubby and I will go to the school, buy a barbequed dinner for the kids and visit each of their classrooms.
Reading it through I know it doesn’t seem to be a big deal at all but it’s all the extra shmoozing that I don’t care for. All the “Oh, HI, how are you”s are kinda irritating to be honest. I do it though because the kids LOVE to show off their desks and all the special work the class has done to prepare for the visit. Those beaming little faces are actually why I get up in the morning so a little shmoozing is okay in the long run
