A friend and I went shopping on Wednesday night. One of the stores we picked was a lingerie store - I love the stuff! So I had lots of fun browsing and picking out stuff - with the sales girl always only a step or two behind my friend and I (I felt like she was stalking me and was getting really annoyed).
Finally I went into the changeroom and about 30 seconds after I went in, as I was getting undressed, the salesgirl popped her head in to tell me that if I needed anything to just let her know
. Now, I know sales jobs aren’t the easiest jobs but it can’t be a mystery to anyone that people don’t like to have a stranger pop their head into the changeroom! Sheesh!!

It’s time for me shop for a treadmill but man do they vary in price! I really don’t know why they vary so much and what it is that makes treadmills so different from each other - other than price.
I know that some of them don’t even have a motor; the belt just moves as you run (like you push it along with your feet). And, some of them have a lot of bells and whistles, but the ones in the middle price-range seem all the same to me! I wish it was easier to buy one. I guess though that I’ll just stick with the one with a good warrenty and the lowest price with all the whistles I want

No, I don’t personally feel like I’m made of delicious liquid
I feel like drinking a glass of wine - Zinfandel to be exact - out of a glass big enough to rival home theater sconces
LOL!!
I find myself exhausted tonight and I really am looking forward to that warm fuzzy feeling that a glass of the yummy stuff brings along. So, enough typing - I’m off to pour some wine

I think it’s time to go shopping for some flowers, and maybe even a tree or two, for my yard this weekend. I know it’s just the time of year but I can’t wait to get to the nursery :). I’ve given it some thought and I’ve decided that my grey brick home might like some salmon coloured geraniums and some similar coloured mulch.
Once that’s done I’m thinking that I’ll need some outdoor chairs and a table - maybe even some beautiful teak furniture or at least two loungers for lazy summer days

Does it ever drive you crazy that you want to buy things for people who need them but you just can not afford it? I have a lot of issues with that. My mom is blind and has MS and there are so many things I’d like to buy for her to make her life so much easier.
First off, I’d love to buy her one of those walk in tubs. Most of all though I’d like to buy her a new house that is all one level and big and open enough that she can get to every bit of her house… Dare to dream I guess…

I am someone who prides herself on being smart. It’s my place I feel comfortable in. In high school, my girlfriend Lynn was the pretty one; I was the smart one. I’ve thought that way of myself ever since.
So, needless to say, when I find myself about to look “unsmart”
, I’m never too thrilled. I notice it mostly when I’m talking about something I’ve read and I don’t know how to pronounce a word or name of someone. Like the word Naot for example. Not easy to know how to say it by looking at it is it? So I could take a stab at it and look foolish or just admit I have no idea how to say it and also look silly… what would you do??

I try to make myself feel better and call them laugh lines but they are, in all honesty, simply wrinkles. Simple… but pretty upsetting if I’m totally honest with myself. I now need a plan of attack. Whether it’s a top wrinkle cream or some kind of laser treatment, I want them gone. …or at least diminished enough that I’m not feeling like I look 10 years older than I really am
. Anyone out there have any suggestions??

Yes, it’s true. I can keep my weight loss pills in the cupboard for another week :). Now I’m down about 6 pounds all together and I’m sooooo happy!
With my tummy tuck a month and a half away now, I have to get really serious about this and I’m happy that I’ve found soemthing that works AND isn’t expensive. Since I’m just following the points plan and not going to weekly meetings, the only cost is my Weight Watchers bread and any low cal snacks
I hope this week goes just as well!

It used to be that all I cared was that I had shoes on that matched my outfit. Usually that just meant wearing brown leather sandals in the summer (or flip flops) or brown or black “reasonable” shoes in the winter - or boots of course.
Now that I’m working in an office though I find myself much more aware of the shoes I’m wearing to work. I’m not to the point where I’m reading the name on the shoes - hey are those Merrell shoes?? but I do care now if I have on pretty shoes with nice heel hight etc.
. I guess I’m a big girl now LOL!!

Well it looks like I won’t be needing diet pills after all
. Turns out that I just needed to go back to old faithful and start counting points again and I’d lose weight. Yes, it was that simple
A few years ago i bought a Weight Watchers “welcome” package or kit (not sure what they called it) off Ebay for around $20 - instead of paying to couple hundred to join. So now i have the kit with the points slider and book of points values for foods etc. It is really easy once you get the hang of it and the weight is falling off
YAY!!
