Two nights ago a group of people/kids(?) played a silly prank on us. We have 4 flower urns in front of the house and they moved 3 of them to the neighbor’s house ;). Nothing was broken and in the grand scheme of pranks, it was cute and it’s not like anyone got hurt.
Then today as I was getting the mail, I realized that our inflatable Halloween Ghost is leaning in a funny way. Nothing drastic, not like we need to quickly get him some term life insurance :). As I get closer though, I realize this time a prankster has put a beer bottle in his necktie in such a way that it looks like the ghost is drinking it ;). Touche, Prankster, and thanks for the giggle!

If you aren’t familiar with who Dane Cook is, he is an actor and also a comedian. If you do a search for him on YouTube, all kinds of clips come up and you can hear him for yourself. His humor is NOT for kids though - just a heads-up to make sure they are NOT within earshot while you listen.
That said, I’m so excited to see him! He is sooo funny I just know it will be some awesome laughter therapy :D. We got great seats - upper level, in the middle of the bowl but first row - we should be able to see him really well. I’m soooo excited!!

Maybe I’m naive but it doesn’t scare me. It probably should though given the cost of everything and the idea that I’ll not be able to work to pay for the things I’ll need anymore… sheesh, that is scary when I type it out.
I like to be proactive though and that means thinking about things carefully well before they are an issue for me. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not looking into places like San Francisco senior homes or anything - though retiring somewhere warm is a great idea. I just wonder if maybe a visit to a financial planner might be a good idea for peace of mind…

Many of the blogs I read and enjoy have them and they don’t phase me at all. But, as a blog owner myself I’d like to know how YOU feel about them. What they are is links to other people sites and I get paid to include them. Now, the post I write is all my own doing and I can write about whatever I choose to. They just ask that, if I use those specific words, I like them to their site. It’s the most honest form of advertising I’ve found so far because no one is telling me what to say or write about - they just want a link. Anyway, do they bother you?? You can see them in the posts before and after this one…

I know, I know… the oddest thoughts pop into my head some days ;). Seriously though, I wonder that. If you think about it, those in cooler and even cold places don’t need to show much skin. Do they then not care as much about being bikini thin?? It makes sense right? I know clothes fit better when we are thin but if I’m rarely in a bathing suit will I be as inclined to diet and eat right as someone who lives in Hawaii? I doubt it. You’d have to assume then that Phoenix cosmetic surgery would be a lot more popular than Alaska cosmetic surgery right?? You know I’m right LOL. :D.

So many of my friends do and I feel like a fuddy-duddy but I don’t. I just don’t want to pay the money. I can think of so many other things to spend my $25 dollars on. Like a movie and popcorn, pizza for dinner, a new pair of pants or a shirt… you get the idea.
I just wonder if maybe I’m way off base and should be getting them. I mean is it like a good haircut?? I spend money on that and feel good about it. Hmmmm….

A friend of mine lost her job a few months ago. I assume she received a package of some sort because, instead of finding a job right away, she decided to take some courses instead. Great idea in my opinion. Funny how sometimes when we feel like life is going all wrong, a blessing can pop out of it.
She shared that one day she would like to get into real estate but as a single mom, needs to wait until her daughter is older. What she is doing now, and maybe instead of the real estate idea, is to start her own Home Staging company.
I have to say, I did know what a home stager did but didn’t realize there was a market for it here in London - though clearly I was wrong. A home stager comes into a home to be sold and pretties it up and makes it appealing to buyers. Pretty cool eh? Think of how many homes just show horribly and how much quicker they would have sold had someone like her come in to make it appealing

I do love food, it’s true :) Every now and then I play a little game of “if I could eat anything”. It’s usually when I’m hungry and usually when it’s too late to go out to eat so that I really can’t get whatever I want
So, I just burst out and ask whichever group of friends I’m with, what they would eat right now if they could have anything they wanted - calories, cost and availability are irrelevant
So, if I could eat anything right now I would eat Extra Loaded Pirogies from Prince Albert’s Diner her in London, Ontario. They’re loaded with fried onions, bacon and lots of cheese and served with fries mmmmmmmmmmmmmm…
Okay so, if you’d like to play along, leave a comment and share what you would eat right now if you could eat anything

Did you happen to see Oprah today? Pretty interesting to say the least. Lots of talk about sex and, ahem, Erotica (aka “porn” for those who can call it as it is) - she even ended the show with a couple who discussed their open marriage. Being nosey like I am, I watched with interest
In the case of the couple on her show, an open marriage for them means that either one of them is welcome to have a full-blown, in-love-with-someone-else relationship. So, the wife is now dating and sleeping with a man who was their friend for years - incidentally the “friend” she is dating and sleeping with is also in a life-relationship with someone else.
Her husband says it was a problem at the start but he agreed to it when he suggested it way back when - I guess he felt like he couldn’t go back on his promise to her. Now he says it’s fine with him and, though he has flirted a bit with other women, he isn’t dating anyone.
What really struck me was that his wife actually, after a night of board games with the group of friends, will go to bed with the family friend in the guest room of their home. I’m not sure about that one folks - I might be nodding “have a nice night honey” and loading the gun LOL!!

Well, in the interest of disclosure I now have a page devoted to it - you’ll find a link in my sidebar. That page shares with you that, although I do get paid for some of my posts, I will never lie to my readers and that all posts are honest.
Those of you who know me already know this. I write as if I am writing to a friend (let’s hope, more than one LOL). So, given that I’d never recommend something to a friend that I don’t truly LOVE, I’d not lie here either
On that note, I’d better get writing!
