Famous People With Pimples?

Alpine Village Family August 24th, 2008

I tell ya, the people in the marketing department at Proactive must have a HUGE budget to play with! I mean really, now many celebrities have you seen “coming clean” lately about their acne problem? (or at least they SAY they had a problem ;) ). Of course they all say the same thing - that Proactiv acne cream is the only reason their skin is so perfectly beautiful now. Help or hype?? Who knows??

I feel like camping

Alpine Village Family July 26th, 2008

I feel like packing up the kiddos and going to a campground somewhere in the boonies :) Not in a tent mind you. No, I guess I’m sort of “been there done that” with the tent camping. What I would rather do is get a tent trailer. That way we can at least have a fridge and a stove and nice beds that are off the ground LOL!! It’s just that being TV free and out in the country side sounds soooo nice as a change :)

I’d love to redecorate

Alpine Village Family July 4th, 2008

I’d love to redecorate. Maybe redo the living room all in blue walls with yellow and red accents - with white wood trim etc. I’d love to have the French Country look :) Of course then I’d also have to redo my kitchen. But I’m excited about that too because I want to learn how to tile my back splash myself too. I want those little tiny tiles and do it in different shades of blue. Then i want to have a new sink - the big country style ones - and fancy faucets too :) Okay i’m all ready I just need a bigger bank account :)

Oh no! Wrinkles… Or are they “laugh lines”?

Alpine Village Family May 20th, 2008

I try to make myself feel better and call them laugh lines but they are, in all honesty, simply wrinkles. Simple… but pretty upsetting if I’m totally honest with myself. I now need a plan of attack. Whether it’s a top wrinkle cream or some kind of laser treatment, I want them gone. …or at least diminished enough that I’m not feeling like I look 10 years older than I really am ;) . Anyone out there have any suggestions??

I lost 2 more pounds last week!

Alpine Village Family May 20th, 2008

Yes, it’s true. I can keep my weight loss pills in the cupboard for another week :). Now I’m down about 6 pounds all together and I’m sooooo happy!

With my tummy tuck a month and a half away now, I have to get really serious about this and I’m happy that I’ve found soemthing that works AND isn’t expensive. Since I’m just following the points plan and not going to weekly meetings, the only cost is my Weight Watchers bread and any low cal snacks :) I hope this week goes just as well!

Are you a shoe snob?

Alpine Village Family May 17th, 2008

It used to be that all I cared was that I had shoes on that matched my outfit. Usually that just meant wearing brown leather sandals in the summer (or flip flops) or brown or black “reasonable” shoes in the winter - or boots of course.

Now that I’m working in an office though I find myself much more aware of the shoes I’m wearing to work. I’m not to the point where I’m reading the name on the shoes - hey are those Merrell shoes?? but I do care now if I have on pretty shoes with nice heel hight etc. ;) . I guess I’m a big girl now LOL!!

Weight Watchers Rocks!!

Alpine Village Family May 13th, 2008

Well it looks like I won’t be needing diet pills after all :) . Turns out that I just needed to go back to old faithful and start counting points again and I’d lose weight. Yes, it was that simple :)

A few years ago i bought a Weight Watchers “welcome” package or kit (not sure what they called it) off Ebay for around $20 - instead of paying to couple hundred to join. So now i have the kit with the points slider and book of points values for foods etc. It is really easy once you get the hang of it and the weight is falling off :) YAY!!

I need to get away!

Alpine Village Family May 7th, 2008

Sorry if I’ve been hyping on this a lot lately but I REALLY want to get away! I’m thinking that a last minute flight with one or two cheap hotels could mix for a nice relaxing time that won’t be too hard on my pocketbook ;)

Now all I need to do is find a girlfriend who wants to travel with me - OH, or maybe TWO girlfriends :D The more the merrier! Now I just have to talk Hubby into watching the kids while I go somewhere sunny without him LOL!!

Is it possible to stop craving double cheeseburgers?

Alpine Village Family April 28th, 2008

I have to admit that I love food. I love to eat alone, with friends, while standing, while sitting and even while hiding from my kids (hey, I’m not always a good sharer LOL).

Some foods though I wish there was some kind of drug rehab kind of thing so I could stop craving them. Right now, I REALLY want a McDonald’s double cheeseburger. If I could find some way to shake that craving (and maybe my Doritos craving ;) ), I’d be thrilled!!

Do you understand song lyrics?

Alpine Village Family April 26th, 2008

I was putting some songs on an ipod last night and had a heck of a time finding songs I like LOL! I do like lots of music and songs but I never remember the names. Anyway I came accross a few but then as I was listening to the sample bit (to decide if i wanted to buy the song), I realized that I really have no idea what the words are :) . I may hear “movers New York” but they could be saying “I really like pork”… but hey, I sing along and have fun so that’s the main thing right? :D
