A Moms Journey to Adoption
If you’ve ever had a rough time in life and have wondered, “Why me?” then you might find some inspirational words in Kristy’s story featured on the Journeys to Motherhood internet radio show. Kristy openly shares with host Barbara Winters her story of her 17-year struggle to have a child. This emotional journey began with a wish to have a child naturally and it led them on a path to in-vitro fertilization attempts and finally to adoption, with many twists and turns and heartache along the way.
This show is not meant to compare who has the worst sob story; rather, it’s a story of struggle and heartache and how it’s possible to endure so much emotional turmoil and still survive with a positive attitude about life. Kristy is proof positive that your problems don’t have to destroy you. With the strong support of family and friends, you can struggle through your darkest days and still find your happy ending. Kristy also admits that she is not the only one in her story that struggles. She is very quick to acknowledge the strength and emotional struggles of the birth mothers in her story and how their ultimate sacrifice led to her own happiness and new-found family.
